Alexandria Country Day School Parent-Teacher League
The purpose of the Parent-Teacher League is to serve ACDS and its community in their efforts to provide an excellent education for its students. These goals of the PTL are met by:

• Being a focal point of communication between parents and the school administration

• Supporting the school and its programs through volunteerism and fundraising

• Encouraging a sense of community by providing social and volunteer opportunities for parents

• Sponsoring educational opportunities for teachers and parents

The PTL is a volunteer organization that relies on the time and enthusiasm of our dedicated ACDS families. Throughout the year, the PTL provides volunteer, social and fundraising opportunities for parents, all with an aim to enhancing our community spirit and improving the educational base. In addition to functions traditionally associated with parent-teacher organizations, the PTL is active in funding the teacher wish-list projects and works closely with the Admissions Office, sponsoring Open Houses and a Host Family program which helps to welcome new families to the school community.
