Library Media Specialist

Alexandria Country Day School is seeking a Library Media Specialist for the 2021-22 school year. Qualified candidates will possess 3-5 years of teaching experience in a library setting and a Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. The school seeks innovative and enthusiastic candidates who appreciate the energy of elementary and middle school students and are passionate about information literacy, technology, and connecting with students through rich and diverse literature. Effective writing and speaking skills, a good sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an appreciation for collaboration are essential.

Substitute Teachers

Alexandria Country Day School is currently recruiting substitute teachers for the 2021-2022 school year. This position is on-call and as needed. Substitutes, as well as faculty and students, will be expected to follow physical distancing guidelines and wear masks when in the building.

Qualified candidates must be enthusiastic, team players and have an appreciation of the unique qualities of the Kindergarten through 8th grade age group. A Bachelor’s degree and criminal background check are required. A background in education and classroom experience is preferred.
